Data Scientist

BombBomb’s Data Scientist will lead the development and delivery of insights relating to our customer, sales, marketing, video, and interaction data. They will be responsible both for instituting data systems and utilizing them to test and explore hypotheses. They will train and empower their peers to leverage information towards their own success. This person will work with teams and customers of all kinds and will be equal parts scientist and teacher.


  • Begin providing a scientific context for business and technical decisions within one month
  • Empower and mentor staff at all levels to have access to the techniques, data and insights they need to meet their goals within 12 months
  • Gain access to and become conversant regarding BombBomb’s data landscape within 6 months
  • Craft insight from data for internal marketing, sales, client success and finance teams, as well as individual and enterprise customers.
  • Continuously evolve our big data platform and tools in all aspects, from data collection to data processing, exploration, visualization and modeling.
  • Produce a rough business intelligence project roadmap through 2018 within 6 months
  • Continuously recruit, develop, and manage BombBomb’s capabilities in machine learning, deep learning, statistical modeling, and other computational approaches to extract insights from large proprietary and public data sources.

  • Detail-Oriented - The position requires attention to detail, as a violation in company policy may result in failure to achieve compliance and ultimately losses in company revenue.
  • Analytical Thinking/Problem Solving - The ability to understand an idea, situation, or problem by breaking it into smaller pieces
  • Diplomacy - Effectively handling difficult or sensitive issues by using tact, diplomacy and an understanding of organizational culture and climate
