Now, we're at an inflection point.
We are evolving from a horizontal point solution into a Homebuilder-focused, Al-powered platform and design will be central to that transformation.
This shift requires more than new features. It requires a reimagined end-to-end experience tailored to a specific ICP with unique workflows, buying journeys, and communication needs.
We are looking for a Principal Product & Experience Designer to own how customers experience BombBomb across product and web-from first impression through long-term value.
You will partner closely with Marketing and Product Marketing, who own positioning and messaging, to translate that strategy into intuitive, high-performing customer experiences.
Your mission: Design a category-defining experience for homebuilders that drives activation, adoption, and revenue growth-powered by Al and grounded in human connection.

What You’ll Do
Own the Homebuilder Customer Experience
Design a cohesive, end-to-end experience tailored to the Homebuilder ICP:
- Lead capture and first interaction
- Buyer communication workflows (video, messaging, follow-ups)
- Project and relationship lifecycle touchpoints
- Internal team collaboration experiences
Lead Product Design for a Verticalized Platform
- Partner with Product and Engineering to evolve BombBomb into a Homebuilder-specific platform
- Design workflows that reflect how homebuilders actually sell, communicate, and manage relationships
- Reduce complexity while increasing perceived value
Lead the Classic to BombBomb 3.0 Migration Experience
- Own the design of the end-to-end migration experience from Classic to BombBomb 3.0, one of BombBomb's most critical business priorities
- Identify and design:
- Missing features and workflows required for customers to successfully transition
- Migration pathways that reduce friction and perceived risk
- In-product experiences that clearly demonstrate the value of BombBomb 3.0 over Classic
- Partner with Product, Engineering, and Growth to:
- Prioritize features that unlock migration at scale
- Design experiences that make moving to BombBomb 3.0 intuitive, compelling, and inevitable
- Improve adoption, activation, and retention within the new platform
- Turn migration from a forced initiative into a customer-driven upgrade experience
Own Website Experience & Conversion
- Partner with Marketing and Product Marketing to bring BombBomb's Homebuilder positioning and messaging to life through experience
- Design and optimize the website as a high-performing growth asset
- Translate messaging into:
- Clear information hierarchy
- Intuitive page flows
- High-converting user journeys
- Visitor-to-trial and visitor-to-demo conversion rates
- Clarity of value proposition through layout and interaction
- Overall usability and speed to understanding
Drive Activation & Time-to-Value
- Design onboarding experiences tailored to homebuilder workflows
- Help users quickly understand:
- How BombBomb fits into their process
- Where Al enhances their communication
- Reduce friction and accelerate "aha moments"
Design Al-Native Experiences
- Integrate Al into core workflows:
- Message creation
- Follow-ups
- Personalization at scale
- Partner with Marketing to ensure Al capabilities are clearly communicated, and design how they are experienced and adopted in-product
- Useful, not gimmicky
- Assistive, not intrusive
- Aligned with human connection (core to BombBomb)
Build a Scalable Design System Across Product & Web
- Create a unified system that supports:
- Product consistency
- Faster iteration
- Cross-functional alignment
- Ensure the system reflects a modern, Al-forward, vertical Saas brand
Act as a Cross-Functional Unifier
Partner closely with:
- Marketing & Product Marketing (positioning, messaging, campaigns)
- Product (roadmap, prioritization, user workflows)
- Engineering (feasibility and execution)
- Growth (conversion, funnel performance)
- Messaging is clearly expressed through product and web interactions
- Customer journeys are cohesive across all touchpoints
- Friction is removed from key conversion and activation moments
Establish a Measurement & Learning Loop
- Define and track key experience metrics:
- Time to first value
- Activation rate
- Trial-to-paid conversion
- Feature adoption
- Retention and engagement
- Continuously refine experiences based on data and user feedback
Elevate High-Stakes Internal & External Communications
- Own the design and experience of high-impact company communications, including key customer presentations, investor and board materials, and annual reports
- Partner with leadership, Growth, and Marketing to ensure these moments clearly communicate BombBomb's Homebuilder-focused, Al-powered vision and reflect a cohesive, high-quality brand
- Establish templates and scalable systems that elevate quality, drive alignment, and enable teams to move quickly

- BombBomb delivers a clear, differentiated experience for homebuilders
- Significant percentage of customers migrate from Classic to BombBomb 3.0
- Website and product clearly reflect a focused ICP and strong positioning

About You
Who this role is perfect for
You are a principal-level designer and experienced strategist who thrives in transformation moments.
You've:
- Designed products and experiences for specific vertical ICPs (or are excited to go deep into one)
- Owned end-to-end customer journeys, not just product surfaces
- Helped reposition products and translate strategy into experience
- Partnered closely with Marketing or Product Marketing to translate positioning and messaging into high-performing user experiences
- Driven measurable impact on conversion, activation, and retention
You think:
- In customer journeys and workflows, not generic UX patterns
- In systems that map to real-world use cases (e.g., homebuilder sales cycles, buyer communication, project timelines)
- In business outcomes, not just design output
You are:
- Customer-obsessed and curious about how homebuilders operate
- Highly collaborative and comfortable working across Product, Growth, and Marketing
- Comfortable designing in ambiguous, evolving environments
- Excited about Al as a core experience layer, not a feature add-on
Ideal Experience
- 7-10+ years in product design, UX, or experience design
- Experience in Saas at the $10M-$1QOM ARR stage
- Strong portfolio demonstrating:
- End-to-end product and web experience ownership
- Work tied to measurable business outcomes
- Experience designing for:
- Vertical Saas or
- Complex, real-world workflows tied to specific industries
- Familiarity with PLG or hybrid GTM models
Bonus Points
- Experience in homebuilding, real estate, or construction-related industries
- Experience with AI/LLM-powered product design
- Experience repositioning a product toward a new ICP
- Experience building or leading design teams
Compensation
The OTE compensation range for this position is $150,000 - $175,000 annually. Final compensation for this role is determined by a variety of factors, such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location.
